AN Experienced Chimney Sweep
Cleansweep Vac Services is a family business based in Hertfordshire for the last 33 years. We have been providing outstanding service, sweeping open fires and woodburners in all weather, since 1991 throughout Herts, Beds and Bucks. Unlike other chimney sweeps we vacuum as we clean with flexible rods and provide our own dust sheets to keep your property clean and soot-free. We are HETAS approved which means we can provide a HETAS certificate for you if your insurance requires it.
The Original Clean Sweep
Mr and Mrs Tony Daniells took over the running of the business from Mr Worbey back in 1991, and could be recognised sweeping chimneys throughout Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire driving his little blue van for 21 years.
Although now retired he has passed his wealth of knowledge down to his son Gareth; an ex-royal marine who joined the business 11 years ago to help with the sweeps and roof repairs. He has utilised his skills as a HETAS approved chimney sweep and HETAS trained installer to offer a wide range of services

Gareth's wife Heather has modernised the business in the last 7 years to promote online booking and payment methods, which helps us produce efficient routes thus using less fuel and producing harmful emissions. We also now share an electric vehicle with our sister company GTD Installations Ltd, reducing our carbon footprint even more.
Jack Holland joined the team in Dec 2019 and his many valuable skills have added to our customer satisfaction.

Chimney sweeping certificates are now issued electronically to save paper & HETAS sweeping certificates are available for an extra fee.
Payments can be made by cash, cheque,
bank transfer and online card payments are accepted.

We offer advice gained from over 30 years of experience, rather than text book knowledge and have full public liability insurance up to £5 million. We can advise on the best types of fuels to use for your appliance and point you in the direction of a reliable supplier. We can advise on repair work and how to stop animals nesting in your chimney, changing your fire type, say from gas to wood burning stove. We can even show you how to light a fire if needs be.
We offer early morning & evening appointments and also weekends which can be booked online. We will travel anywhere within a 20 mile radius of Hitchin and some times have been known to travel further afield. We have regular customers that have been with us for over 25 years, are trusted by many local Estate Agents and Estate Offices and have some famous ones too! Our regular customers particularly love our flexibility, helpful advice and clean service.
